It took a while but we got there eventually – the Preston Panthers are now the Preston Pythons. We’ll still be doing all the same things and you can still find us on twitter, ( @PrestonPythons – existing followers shouldn’t be affected), and Facebook.

Preston Panthers Still Recruiting (Aged 14-16) |

The latest addition to the Lancashire Academy of American Football are still recruiting players and coaches. The Preston Panthers, who train at Moor Park, Preston, were formed 2 months ago following an award from the British American Football Association. Coached by a team of 6 coaches from the Lancashire Academy the team have started well and have a strong group of players. They recently recieved a boost when the teams kit finally arrived, enabling the boys and girls aged between 14-16 to get their first real taste of 'contact' American Football. Head Coach, Chris Bradley is pleased with how the team is progressing but welcomes new players - "American Football is a fast paced game but whatever your size or athletic ability there is a position on this team suited to you - come down and see what all the fuss is about!"

Panthers Rookie Camp announced |

The Preston Panthers are pleased to announce their inaugral Rookie Camp, to begin on Saturday 6th August. Any boys and girls aged 14-16 who are interested in playing kitted American Football are invited to come along and join in this FREE introduction to the sporrt.
Training will take place at Moor Park in Preston, from 11am-2pm. Anybody interested should email

Newest member of the Academy - the Preston Panthers |

The Lancashire Academy of American Football are proud to announce the recent formation of their newest team, the Preston Panthers. The Panthers will initially consist of a youth kitted team which will welcome boys and girls aged 14-16 wishing to try out the sport of American Football.
The Panthers are starting on a strong footing with a solid coaching and management staff in place, including Great Britain junior coach, Simon Purcell, who will be leading the team. The team are also in a strong initial position following a successful application to the British American Football Association (BAFA) Kick-Start fund, which will be providing several full sets of kit for the team.
More information about the team will be available in the coming weeks, however the Panthers encourage anyone interested in playing, coaching or volunteering for the Panthers to email
